Jamshedpur: Chhath rush increases waiting time in Bihar bound bus, trains

 

Jamshedpur, November 14:  The waiting list for trains going from Jamshedpur to Bihar has exceeded 300 due to Chhath rush.

 

There is a long waiting list in AC chair car and second seating in 18183 Tatanagar-Ara Express from 14th November to 18th November. Same is the condition of 13287 Durg-Danapur South Bihar. The waiting list is 124 in sleeper, 34 in second AC and 62 in third AC. There is a waiting list of 348 in the sleeper coach of 18181 Tata-Chhapra as on 14th November. It has reached 198 in the sleeper of 28181 Tata-Katihar. There is a long waiting list in third and second AC also.

Additional special train is being started between Tatanagar and Chapra on Chhath festival on 15th and 22nd. The train from Tatanagar will leave for Chapra on 15th and 22nd November, while from Chapra it will leave for Tatanagar on 16th and 23rd November.

 

Many trains will run diverted from Jamshedpur from 14th to 17th November. Due to the block, Tata Bengaluru Express will run on the diverted route on 17th November and Tata-Yesvantpur Express on 16th November.

In view of the increase in the number of passengers going to Bihar during Chhath festival, apart from the 60 buses plying from Jamshedpur to Bihar, additional 10 buses are being diverted from another route.

Despite this, the crowd of passengers in buses is not decreasing. Apart from seats, passengers are being sent by installing tools and benches. People have been reaching the bus stand since morning and trying to secure seats. All the buses are running overloaded.

 

Bus Association president Uday Sharma said that seats in the buses have already been booked. The number of some buses has been increased, but still they are falling short of passengers.
