Chhath festivity preparation in full swing at Surya Mandir

Jamshedpur, November 16:  Preparations for Chhath Mahotsav are in the final stages at the Sun Temple complex in Sidgora.

Temple committee president Bhupendra Singh said that preparations are being made vigorously at all levels to make the Chhath Mahotsav a success. Like every year, this year too the committee members are fully engaged in organizing the grand Chhath Mahotsav.

After painting and cleaning the entire temple complex including the Sun Temple Pond, panoramic painting of the surface of the pond is being done. After the painting work is completed, it will be filled with clean water.

The lighting inside and outside the pond will spread iridescent hues. Along with this, on the occasion of Chhath Mahotsav, attractive electrical decorations are being done in the temple premises and surrounding areas.

Sun Temple will be specially decorated with colorful flowers. Committee officials said that the work of cleaning the roads leading to the Sun Temple is going on.

The volunteers of Surya Mandir will be continuously active in the service of Chhath vratis and devotees.

All the entry gates will be opened for Chhath vratis at 2 pm.

The media in-charge appealed to all the music loving city residents to participate in maximum numbers in the cultural evening to be organized in the Sun Temple complex at 7 pm and enjoy folk songs and bhajan music along with Chhath songs.

Bhupendra Singh said that on November 18, the temple committee will distribute free puja materials among 1100 economically weak devotees.

For this, the workers of the eastern region have been given the responsibility to find out the economically weak devotees in their respective areas and submit their list to the temple committee. On behalf of the temple committee, worship materials will be distributed among the families of eleven hundred such needy people in the Surya Dham complex on November 18 from 10 am.

Chandragupta Singh, patron of the Sun Temple Committee,  said that the on the evening on 19th November cultural program will be held by folk singer Nisha Pandey, the winning participant of Sur Sangram and famous singer Mamta Raut and local artist Sneha Mishra and other artists will stream devotional music among the devotees.

Security arrangements will be tight during the program of Chhath Mahotsav.
