Jamshedpur: Chandil police station in-charge Varun Kumar Yadav of Seraikela-Kharsawan district has been suspended by DGP Anurag Gupta for escorting a VVIP without prior permission. Seraikela SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat confirmed the suspension, stating it was done on the directives of senior officials. A replacement for the position will be assigned soon.
DGP Anurag Gupta has issued strict guidelines to all district DIGs and SPs, emphasizing the importance of polite public interaction by police personnel. Immediate action has been mandated in cases involving cybercrime, SC/ST issues, human trafficking, and crimes against women. The DGP directed that complaints from victims be registered promptly, irrespective of jurisdiction. These measures aim to enhance public trust and ensure swift justice.
