Jamshedpur: CBSE class 10 examinee attempts suicide

Jamshedpur, March 15: In a shocking incident a 15-year-old girl student of CBSE affiliated Kasidih High School attempted to commit suicide by hanging at her house in Sitaramdera on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place at Chhayanagar, urban slum, close to MGM Medical College Hospital at about 1 pm.

The girl is appearing in her board examination conducted by CBSE since the March 5, was saved as someone in her house saw her. Soon afterward she was rushed to MGM Medical College Hospital emergency.

The doctors on the medical college hospital emergency referred the girl who had sustain injuries in the neck and unconsicious to Tata Main Hospital for better treatment.

Assistant sub-inspector, Dilip Kumar Yadav of Tata Main Hospital camp police station said they could not know the reason behind the attempt. OC, Sitaramdera thana, Rameswar Oraon said no case has been registered in connection with the incident of a minor girl attempting to commit suicide.

“The girl was first taken to MGM Medical College Hospital in serious condition, and later she was referred to Tata Main Hospital. We will register any case only after getting a complaint,” said Oraon.
