Jamshedpur: A meeting of Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) was convened on Thursday by the district public relations officer (DPRO). Various cable operators of the city were invited to the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the DPRO said the cable channels should not violate the Model Code of Conduct in any manner. Stringent action would be initiated against those not following the guidelines issued in this connection by the Election Commission of India.
The DPRO said the district administration was keeping a close watch on the news items, programmes and commercials being aired on various TV channels and media.
