Jamshedpur, July 11: In a road mishap near Palang Market on Sakchi-Mango Road under �Sakchi police station, a 38-year-old man was fatally injured late on Friday night. The man who was identified as Sunny Bhatia succumbed to his injuries at Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital in Mango at about 8 am on Saturday. Six persons, including a 14-year-old boy were killed in two road mishaps taking place in and around the steel city during the past 24 hours.
According to information the mishap took place as the vehicle Bhatia was riding on was hit by an unidentified four-wheeler. � The victim was a resident of Mango and was returning home from his sweetmeat shop at Dalda Line in Sakchi market at about 11 pm on Friday.� The four-wheeler rider, however, managed to escape taking shield of darkness.
Bhatia sustained grievous head injury, and was rushed to MGM Medical College Hospital which was near from the spot. As the condition of the victim was very serious, the doctors on emergency duty referred him to Tata Main Hospital. But there was some problem in the treatment at the Tata Main Hospital, the victim was shifted to Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital in the wee hours today. Bhatia succumbed to his head injuries in the morning.
The Sakchi thana OC, Kunal Kumar said confirmed about the mishap under his thana area and claimed that they are trying to identify the four-wheeler which caused the fatal mishap.
In the other mishap five persons were killed, three of them, on the spot along Matiana village on NH-33 under Baharagora thana area in Ghatshila sub-division about 85 kms away from here on Friday evening.
