Review meeting of development projects
Jamshedpur: A review meeting was held at the Jamshedpur Collectorate Auditorium under the directives of District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal. Chaired by Deputy Development Commissioner Aniket Sachan, the meeting assessed the progress of projects sanctioned under the Unattached Fund, MP-MLA Fund, DMFT, CSR, Tourism, and Technical Departments. Officials were instructed to ensure the timely completion of all pending projects to maximize public benefit.
The Deputy Development Commissioner emphasized that these funds are crucial for the execution of development projects, including health centers, bridges, roads, buildings, and other infrastructure that directly benefit the public. He directed officials to complete these projects within the stipulated timeframe.
Technical challenges in launching boat operations at Burudih Dam were discussed, and it was decided that further action would be taken through the beneficiary committee.
Addressing challenges in constructing health sub-centers, the administration approved site changes within designated areas where necessary. The Deputy Development Commissioner instructed technical department officials to inform local block officials before starting site inspections.
Strict action was proposed against contractors intentionally delaying projects, with the administration directing that blacklisting procedures be initiated if necessary. The district engineer was instructed to expedite the construction of community buildings and RCC police structures.
During the review of CSR-funded projects, officials reported that 70 percent of the installation work for 100 hand pumps had been completed, with the remaining work set to be finished within 15 days.
In the UCIL mining area, around 50 percent of allocated funds for healthcare infrastructure improvements had been utilized. The civil surgeon was directed to ensure the swift completion of remaining work.
Tourism, arts, culture, and sports development projects were also reviewed. Implementing agencies such as the Rural Development Special Division and the Building Division were instructed to accelerate their work. The District Sports Officer was asked to coordinate with the department on revised estimates and proceed with further action.
A detailed review of pending projects under the MP and MLA funds was conducted, with discussions on pending DC bills.
The meeting was attended by NEP Director Santosh Garg, District Panchayati Raj Officer Rinku Kumari, District Welfare Officer Shankaracharya Samad, along with executive engineers, assistant engineers, and other officials from technical departments.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to expediting development projects and ensuring their timely completion for the welfare of East Singhbhum residents.
