Jamshedpur, Oct 17: Thieves targeted the locked house of deputy manager of ISWP, Abhijeet Gupta, a resident of Tar Company Officers Colony under Telco police station area.
The burglars broke into the house by breaking the lock, broke the locker and trunk of the cupboard and took away diamond rings, six gold rings, bracelets, two necklaces, earrings,, nose earrings, anklets, silver crock and other ornaments along with Rs 15,000 cash.
According to Abhijeet Gupta, the value of the stolen jewelery is more than Rs 5 lakh. His daughter is an accountant in Yes Bank. The theft complaint has been registered at Telco police station. In the complaint given to the police, it was told that the family members locked the house and went to Rourkela on the morning of October 13. On the morning of October 15, Nirmal, who lived in the colony, informed about the theft. They reached on the same day evening to find that the wardrobe of the front room is open in which the jewelery missing. At the same time, the lock of the trunk was also also broken, in which all the ornaments and money were also missing. Abhijeet Gupta told that before going to Rourkela they had informed the domestic servant Saraswati. The police is investigating into the matter.
