Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand State Convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan was held with great enthusiasm on December 18 at Raj Vilas Resort in Govindpur. Around 70 branches from across Jharkhand participated in the convention, showcasing their social, educational and welfare activities.
The Jamshedpur branch delivered an outstanding performance and emerged as one of the biggest achievers at the event. The branch was honoured with the prestigious Best Branch Manju Meharia Memorial Award for its exceptional work. In addition, it received 18 awards across various categories, including environment, education, health, child development, other social initiatives and formation of new branches, marking a proud moment for the branch.
Jamshedpur branch president Rani Agarwal, along with secretary Meena Agarwal, treasurer Manju Musaddi and the entire team, received the awards on stage.
A major highlight of the convention was the appointment of senior Jamshedpur branch member Prabha Padiya of Jugsalai as the Jharkhand State President for the 2026–2028 term. The honour marked a historic achievement for the Jamshedpur branch.
Several senior office-bearers and dignitaries of the organisation were present at the programme, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
