Jamshedpur, Mar 7: Shivam Kumar Singh was brutally murdered on Thursday in Ansar Nagar Demdubi under Kapali OP near Mango. The police have arrested two accused, Rahul Das of Sonari and Mohammad Asif of Demdubi, in connection with the murder.
According to police investigations, Rahul was in a relationship with a girl whom he planned to marry. However, Shivam allegedly harassed Rahul’s girlfriend, despite previous warnings. Frustrated, Rahul conspired with his friend Asif to eliminate Shivam.
A day before the murder, Rahul invited Shivam to Kapali Demdubi, where they consumed alcohol. During a heated argument, Rahul slit Shivam’s throat. He later went to Asif’s house to change his blood-stained clothes before surrendering at Sonari Police Station along with Asif.
The police revealed the details of the crime on Friday and both accused have been sent to jail.
