Jamshedpur, May 26: Shankar Singh, a 12-year-old boy from Bankata village of Bahragora block, died after being hit by lightning on Friday afternoon. His mother was also partially injured in this natural disaster.
According to information, boy Shankar Singh was coming home with his mother Sarla Singh carrying a load of paddy from the adjacent field. Then it started raining lightly and there was a lightning with a loud sound. Coming in his grip, both mother and son fainted and fell down. With the help of the local people, Shankar Singh was brought to Community Health Center Baharagora by 108 ambulance. Where doctors declared Shankar Singh dead after investigation. While his mother is out of danger and she was sent home after first aid. Bahragora police is investigating after reaching the spot. Police has started preparing to send the dead body for postmortem.
