Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP�s padyatra (march on foot) is all set to kick off in Jugsalai on 12th December. An announcement to this effect was made at a meeting of the Jugsalai Assembly Core Committee of the party held in Sakchi on Saturday. The meeting was chaired by the district treasurer cum convenor of the Core Committee Vimal Jalan. District BJP president Dinesh Kumar and senior party leader Gurdev Singh Raja were also present on this occasion.
The district president said the padyatra will cover 150 km and continue for another 15 days. He said the padyatra will cover all Mandal units of the party. Groups comprising 25 party members would go on a door-to-door mass contact programme and inform people about the benefits of various government schemes.
Among those present at the meeting included Vimalkant Jha, Ankit Anand, Kripa Sindhu Mahato, Jitendra Rai, Amit Mishra, Tridev Chattaraj and Pankaj Sinha.
