Jamshedpur: District BJP president Dinesh Kumar has sought the intervention of Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato in connection with the issuance of notices to several residents of Debun Bagan and other slums of the city in Tinplate area of Golmuri. He said the Railway department has issued notices to the residents and asked them to appear beore the Railway court to make their representation.
A case is being heard in the Railway court in connection with alleged encroachment of railway land. A case is also being heard in the court of the South Eastern Railway DRM, sources said.
The BJP president said not a single household would be allowed to be demolished by the Railways. He said he would meet East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner to apprise him of the situation. He said the DC, who is out of station presently, would also be requested to intervene in the matter.
