Jamshedpur : In a significant breakthrough, police have arrested Dashrath Shukla, a BJP worker from Golmuri, in connection with the firing incident at the residence of BJP leader Hareram Singh. The arrest was made during a joint operation between Bundu and Tamar, following a prolonged manhunt. Sources said Shukla was taken to Bundu police station for interrogation soon after his arrest. Though officials have declined to issue an official statement, investigators believe his role in orchestrating the attack is under serious scrutiny. During the raid, police recovered a firearm suspected to have been used in the crime, which has now been sent for forensic examination. Digital evidence retrieved from Shukla’s mobile phone has reportedly revealed links to notorious gangsters Prince Khan and Sujit Sinha. Investigators are now analyzing these communications to uncover the wider network involved in the attack. The names of two other suspects — Azad Langda and Saifi from Mango’s Azad Basti  have also surfaced, with police maintaining close watch on their activities. According to sources, Shukla had earlier evaded capture when police raided his Golmuri residence. Acting on a specific tip-off, a special team finally apprehended him from Bundu. Investigators have also found indications of his involvement in money lending and extortion rackets, suggesting that financial disputes or political rivalry could be at the root of the firing incident. Police officials said intensive questioning is underway and expressed confidence that the entire conspiracy behind the attack will soon be fully exposed.
