Jamshedpur: In order to reach out to individual voters and party workers, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Saryu Roy and BJP candidate from Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahto inaugurated partys office in the city. After launching, Mahto said that this is yet another hi-tech initiative by the party. The office is based at Sakchi.
The centre is equipped with laptops, phones, which will enable the party to reach to the voters and help them in locating their booth and voters serial number.
Spread in 5000 sq ft area the election office would monitor party activities for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat, said Anil Modi, the party spokesperson.
“We have made a lobby where the party leaders can brainstorm and chalk out
strategies,” he said adding that the election office would be equipped
with a LED television and that it will have a place earmarked for social
media. Jamshedpur will go to polls on May 12.
Bidyut Baran Mahto who will try his luck for the second term said members
from each of its facilities down to the booth level would not only fan out to
inform voters about the achievements of the Narendra Modi government at the
Centre but also try and stop false propaganda spread by the Opposition.
” The office would help people as they can complain and also give suggestions. The people will be apprised of the initiatives taken by the Modi government,” he said.
Roy said the party election office will prove to be effective in helping the party workers and leaders during campaigning and planning strategies.
This office will help in coordinating work and sharing various responsibilities. I think this is one of the most innovative steps taken by any political party in the eastern zone. The idea is to reach to the maximum voters. People can seek number of information by just telling their voter ID number and serial number, noted a party worker.
The senior party functionaries will over oversee, among other things, the partys social media campaign, publicity and distribution of election materials to different constituencies.
The distribution of publicity materials would also be done from the office. A social media team to prepare social media posts and manage social media profiles of BJP candidates will also be working in this office.
