Jamshedpur, January 17: Due to the prompt initiative of BJP Jharkhand state spokesperson and former Baharagora MLA Kunal Sharangi, the way has been cleared for the return of 33 laborers of Giridih and Hazaribagh districts trapped in the African country of Mali.
Around 33 laborers living in Giridih and Hazaribagh districts of Jharkhand, trapped in the African country of Mali, had requested to return to their homeland through social media which was published by leading dailies.
Those laborers have told through the video that the company in which they are working has not been paid salary for the last 3 months, due to which they have become hungry for food.
In such a situation, somehow they should be sent back to India. In social media too, a youth named Sunil Mahato had requested many people including the Prime Minister’s Office to help these laborers in this matter. In which former MLA of Baharagora cum BJP Jharkhand state spokesperson Kunal Shadangi was also involved.
Taking cognizance of the tweet, Kunal immediately urged External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Indian Embassy in Mali and Mauritania, Indian Ambassador Anjani Sahay posted there, and foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi to help many people for their safe return home. To which the Indian Embassy in Mali and Mauritania has replied that they have contacted both the parties, the workers and their company and efforts are being made to end any dispute between them. He has also told that the laborers have adequate availability of food and they are completely safe.
At the same time, Kunal Shadangi has thanked the Indian Embassy in Mali and Mauritania for the prompt intervention and said that they have also told the same thing to the families of laborers here. Said that it would be great if an amicable solution could be found between the worker and the employer. BJP state spokesperson Kunal Shadangi has expressed hope that this difficult time of laborers will end soon.
