Jamshedpur, Aug 20: The Vijaya Garden Central Puja Committee of Baridih performed Bhoomi Pujan for Durga Puja at Triangular Park, marking the beginning of preparations for the grand festival.
Committee members PK Bastiya, Mukesh Kumar, Naveen Verma, Parshuram Singh, Rajesh Singh, Priyanka Verma, Rinku Rai, Mita Pal, Ritu Sinha, BK Prasad, Subodh Singh, Ajay Kumar, Ram Kripal Tiwari, N. Rao, Sanjay Singh, and Sanjay Jha participated in the ritual.
General Secretary Mukesh Kumar and Media Coordinator Naveen Verma informed that this year’s pandal will be based on the theme of cleanliness and dengue awareness. To promote an eco-friendly environment, trees in pots will be placed around the pandal, along with installation of awareness-based cutouts. Small and large dustbins will also be arranged in and around the pandal to encourage proper waste management.
The committee plans to spread the message that everyone should plant a tree, and will request devotees visiting the pandal to contribute to this cause. All activities this year will highlight reducing pollution, maintaining cleanliness, and addressing global warming.
Both men and women of the community play an active role in the puja preparations, ensuring that the event is conducted with unity and dedication.
