Jamshedpur, September 18: Bagbera thana SI Shashi Bhushan Rai, was arrested by the ACB team on Monday for taking a bribe of Rs 15,000.
The team reached Bagbera police station at 11 am on Monday and arrested Shashibhushan red handed while taking bribe.
In this regard, Bagbera resident Raju Singh had complained about the matter to ACB on September 15. When the allegations were found true in the investigation, the team arrested Shashibhushan.
Raju told the team that a false FIR had been lodged against him in Bagbera police station regarding a land dispute, which was being investigated by Shashibhushan Rai. Shashibhushan had demanded Rs 20,000 to remove his name. In the end the matter was settled for Rs 15 thousand. They did not want to pay bribe, so they complained about the matter to ACB. Here, ACB investigated the case and sent Shashibhushan to jail.
