Jamshedpur: Bagbera police arrests Rekha Pandey in cheque bounce case

Jamsheddur, Jan 30: Bagbera police on Thursday morning arrested a woman absconding in cheque bounce case.

Advocate Om Prakash giving details of the case said, “Rekha Pandey, a resident of Bajrang Tekri in Bagbera, who had been absconding in a cheque bounce case, was arrested by Bagbera police early Thursday morning.”

Prakash added that she was presented before the Judicial Magistrate Pawan Kumar’s court, which remanded her to judicial custody and sent her to Ghaghidih Jail.

He added that Roshan Lal Bagdi, a resident of Jugsalai, had filed a complaint against Rekha Pandey.

Prakash further added that the court of Judicial Magistrate Pawan Kumar found her guilty and sentenced her to six months of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs1.80 lakh.

Prakash had appealed against the sentence in the court of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, but her petition was dismissed. Following this, she went into hiding, and a non-bailable warrant was issued against her.
