Jamshedpur: Audition for Bhojpuri whodunit and Hindi web series showcases myriad talents

Jamshedpur, Oct 16:  Ambition, coupled with enthusiasm prevailed at Celebration Studio in Mango Horizon Mall on Sunday, October 16 where 117 candidates with a penchant for acting appeared for auditions in the hope of making it under the celluloid sun.

It may be mentioned that the audition was held for selection of cast for a Bhojpuri whodunit film, ‘Anjaam’ and a romantic web series, ‘Rafta-Rafta.’ Both projects will be produced under the twin banners of ‘Manoranjan Talkiez’ and ‘Sai Sarita Atulit Productions.’ The production facilities will be provided by the recently launched ‘Film and TV Institute of Jamshedpur’ that incidentally provides technical backup through its state of the art ‘Celebration Studio.’

Among the artistes were dream pushers from Saraikela too. The candidates had to mention their names and provide their contact numbers in front of the camera before commencing delivering their dialogues assigned to them. Cinematographer Shahzad and director Md Habib supervised the auditions.

Executive producer, Safa ul Haque informed that the shooting for the Bhojpuri thriller, ‘Anjaam’ will commence in the first week of November. This film will provide local artistes ample scope to act alongside big names of Hindi and Bhojpuri cinema. The fil will be directed by Md Habib.

The producer of the romantic web series, ‘Rafta-Rafta’ producer from Samastipur, Sarita Singh said that shooting for this romantic project would commence in the last week of November and will be shot in and around Jamshedpur.

The first look of ‘Anjaam’ will be released in the first week of January, 20 23. Director Md Habib stated, “Our aim is to create a film city in Jamshedpur. It will be our endeavor to shoot in and around Jamshedpur as-well-as in districts of Dhanbad and Bokaro. This will, hopefully, create a healthy cinematic environment in Jamshedpur and adjoining areas. The ultimate aim is to provide a platform for aspiring artistes that will also provide them with income scope. Moreover, actors selected for the Bhojpuri vehicle, ‘Anjaam,’ will get the opportunity to act alongside big and well-known stars and learn the finer nuances of acting before the camera. We have several other projects lined up to provide a platform for budding artistes.”
