Jamshedpur Artist Arjun Das honors Late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren with painting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren deeply moved

Jamshedpur, Sept 25: Sonari-based young artist Arjun Das, known for promoting Jharkhand’s rich art and culture, created a special painting in memory of the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and former Chief Minister of the state.

Das presented the painting to Chief Minister Hemant Soren at his residence in Ranchi. The Chief Minister was visibly moved upon seeing the artwork and lauded the artist’s dedication. “Jharkhand’s soil is filled with talent. Young artists like Arjun Das are preserving our heritage and culture. The state government will always support such gifted individuals,” he remarked.

Expressing gratitude, Arjun Das said that the moment would remain a lifelong memory for him. “Dishom Guru has been a source of inspiration. It is a matter of pride to preserve his memory through my art,” he said.

Das credited JMM central spokesperson and former Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi for helping arrange the meeting. Sarangi praised the artist, stating, “The talents emerging from Jamshedpur are shaping the state’s identity. Arjun Das has reflected Jharkhand’s pride and culture through his art.”
