Jamshedpur, October 8. People caught Moni Mahti, a young man roaming with a pistol in Oraon Basti under Sitaramdera police station, and handed him over to the police.
Regarding the incident, it is said that the young man along with two other companions were standing with a pistol on the road of Oraon Basti at 11.30 pm on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, the people of the colony caught the young man. After this, people beat the young man severely.
Police admitted him to MGM and he is undergoing treatment. It is said that the young man has recently been released from jail and was trying to commit some untoward incident. The police is interrogating him in the police station.
The station in-charge said that apart from the pistol, two live bullets were also recovered from the youth. The youth had also opened fire in Oraon Basti.
Here the young man’s sister told that the young man owed money to a liquor seller in Sitaramdera.
He went to demand the outstanding money, after which the youths together beat him severely.
The young man lives in Sindhi Colony of Sitaramdera. He also does the work of water supply.
