Jamshedpur anti-encroachment drive: Displaced vendors stage dharna at Mango

Jamshedpur, March 28: The displaced vendors and shopkeepers of Dimna Road staged a demonstration at Munshi Mohalla at Mango on the second consecutive day on Tuesday. They demanded that the state Health Miniser Banna Gupta should come to the dharna venue and assure them of adequate space for business.

One of the vendors said she had sought time from the district administration officials for removing her goods, but she was denied permission. She said the Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) was doing nothing for the vendors’ welfare. MMC Special Officer Suresh Prasad Yadav said the vendors should shitft to the shops built near Jamshedpur Workers College.
