Jamshedpur: Ajoy Kumar Seth’s book ‘Betrayal’ bags Jury Award at Asian Publishers

Jamshedpur, April 25: Almost an all-rounder, Ajoy Kumar Seth worked successfully as an Indian Air Force Flying officer and was posted at various stations including Bangalore (now Bengaluru), Srinagar, Delhi, Gujarat and Bikaner. He also served in the Indian Peace Keeping force at Srilanka. His glittering career in the defence services and other fields won him accolades and was decorated with Videsh Seva Medal. Ajoy Seth had nurtured an inclination towards writing that saw him writing for newspapers and journals. Currently, he is employed in the Indian Railways and posted in Jamshedpur.

His book, ‘Betrayal’ won the Jury Award at a function organized in Kolkata on April 24 by Asian Books Publishers. ‘Betrayal’ traces the life, responsibilities and risks that encompass the story of an Air Force Flying Officer. Author Ajoy Kumar Seth said that for the purposes of national security, names of aircrafts and air bases were not mentioned in his book, ‘Betrayal.’

Digging into his exciting background, one found that that Seth did his MA in History from Annamalai University. He had a yearning for writing and even while serving the country, he made out time to jot down his experiences in loose pages or in his notebook that would help him to compile his unique story some day, some time; and thus there was ‘Betrayal’ published by Asian Press.

Seth’s story moves at an interesting pace and that leaves no time for ennui. The book is available in bookstores and also on Amazon and Flipkart.  ‘Betrayal’ is a hard cover edition and priced @ Rs 150.
