Jamshedpur Airport: MP discusses Dhalbhumgarh Airport issue with CM, gets assurance

Jamshedpur, March 5: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato met Chief Minister Hemant Soren at latter’s office on the Jharkhand Assembly premises to discuss forest clearance issue related to the proposed Dhalbhumgarh Airport.

Mahato told the CM the Dhalbhumgarh Airport project needed forest and environment clearance from the state government. He said there is no issue of land acquisition. Once the approval is given by the state government, Central government would start project implementation with the Airport Authority of India.

The CM assured the MP of doing his best to remove roadblocks to ensure speedy implementation of the airport project. He said other airports were also being developed in the state. He said he would look into the land related issues of the Dhalbhumgarh airport project.

Mahato had recently met Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and requested him to remove obstacles in the implementation of the airport project.
