BJP misleading youths in the name of religion: Dr Ajoy

Jamshedpur, June 18: East Singhbhum District Congress Committee organized a rally to protest against the Agnipath scheme of the Central government on Saturday. Led by former Jamshedpur MP and national working committee member Dr Ajoy Kumar, the party workers marched on foot from Sakchi Aam Bagan ground to Jamshedpur Collectorate.

Kumar assailed the Central government for introducing the Agnipath scheme and demanded its immediate withdrawal. He said the Central government was trying to mislead the youths of the country in the name of religion. He said the Centre was doing great injustice to youths by giving them jobs in defence forces for four years on contractual basis. He said the government should revoke its decision with immediate effect in the larger interest of youths.
The Congress leaders handed over a memorandum addressed to the President of India to the Deputy Commissioner.
Those present during the rally included Dharmendraw Sonkar, Rakesh Sahu, Parvinder Singh, Rahul Goswami, Pramod Mishra, Surendra Sharma, Amit Dubey and Jyoti Matharu.
