Jamshedpur: Advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu extended his heartfelt congratulations to Ravi Shankar Shukla, Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela -Kharsawan, on being conferred the prestigious Prime Minister’s Excellence in Public Administration Award 2024.
Pappu hailed the award as a recognition of DC Shukla’s “sensitivity towards social concerns, strong administrative capabilities, and exemplary leadership.” He emphasized that such recognition sets a benchmark for governance and urged Deputy Commissioners of other districts to emulate Shukla’s work ethic and dedication.
“This award is not just an individual achievement, but a symbol of hope and inspiration. If every officer adopts the same commitment, Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of inclusive development can truly reach the last person standing,” said Pappu.
The award was presented for the outstanding implementation of the Aspirational Block Program by NITI Aayog, which was launched on January 7, 2023, with the goal of transforming 500 backward blocks across India. The program focuses on five key areas — health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and good governance.
Notably, Gamharia block of Seraikela district emerged as a model of success under this initiative, delivering remarkable outcomes in all five sectors. This achievement not only brought national recognition to the block but also marked a proud moment for the entire state of Jharkhand.
Pappu concluded by applauding the relentless efforts of all officials and frontline workers in the Gamharia block, stating that their contribution has brought honor to the region and demonstrated the power of effective public service.
