Jamshedpur administration’s prompt steps to keep water scarcity at bay

Jamshedpur, April 17: The district administration is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to ensure that the citizens of East Singhbhum did not confront drinking water scarcity in summer.

In Ramchandrapur Sabar Tola of Kalchiti Panchayat under Ghatshila block, 2 hand pump sets were repaired on Monday while the BDO assured that the water tower would be repaired on Tuesday, April 18.

Similarly, three hand pumps were repaired in Ruam village under Musabani Block. The Deputy Commissioner said that all efforts were trained towards unhindered supply of drinking water to citizens during summer. She said that all out efforts were being made to attend to drinking water problems that were being reported to the office within 24 hours. The DC appealed to all Panchayat heads to collect and make a list of all defective handpump sets and submit it at the Block office for prompt care.
