Jamshedpur Administration inspects immersion ghats with Durga puja committee

Jamshedpur, October 10: The district administration has also become alert regarding idol immersion during Durga Puja.

On Tuesday, SSP Kishore Kaushal, DDC Manish Kumar, SDO Piyush Sinha along with Durga Puja Central Committee inspected various immersion ghats.

During this time, all the officials went to Baroda Ghat of Bagbera, Swarnarekha Ghat Sakchi, Pandey Ghat, Bhuiandih, Naya Ghat Sonari, Domuhani Ghat Sonari, Bailey Bodhan Ghat and decided for safe and peaceful immersion.

They took stock of the preparations for cleaning the ghat, lighting etc. Instructions were given to the concerned agencies to make all kinds of arrangements.

Guidelines have been given regarding arranging lighting at all the ghats, deploying divers and ensuring that immersion is done in a timely and orderly manner. Regarding the traffic system, SSP said that separate plan has been prepared for Saptami, Ashtami and Dashami, so that there is no problem of traffic jams in the city.

A separate route has been decided for immersion. The statues will be brought to the ghat through the prescribed route only so that people do not have to face problems. All puja committees have been instructed to do the immersion as per the scheduled time, so that a large number of idols do not come to the river ghat at the same time.

Durga Puja Central Committee general secretary Ashutosh Singh said that consideration is being given to increasing the number of immersion ghats so that time can be saved.
