Jamshedpur: Accused gets lifer in Ankita Murder Case

Jamshedpur, March 28: The court of First Additional District and Sessions Judge cum POCSO Court Special Judge Ramesh Chandra pronounced life imprisonment for the accused involved in the murder of Dumka resident Ankita. The accused, Shahrukh Hussain and Naeem Ansari, were convicted in the infamous petrol murder case, where they poured petrol on Ankita and set her on fire on August 23, 2022. The court’s decision came after thorough deliberations, following the conviction of both accused on March 19.

Expressing gratitude, Karni Sena Jharkhand commended the court’s ruling, stating it as a long-awaited victory for justice. The Karni Sena had been steadfast in its support for the victim’s family, extending both financial and legal aid throughout the legal proceedings. The relentless efforts of the Karni Sena ultimately led to the sentencing of life imprisonment for the accused. State President of Kshatriya Karni Sena Parivar, Binay Singh, along with various other officials, lauded the decision as a significant step towards ensuring justice for Ankita and her family.
