Jamshedpur Accident: scooterist injured after collision with Arka Jain University bus, locals block road

Gamharia, April 11: A serious road accident occurred near Saldih under Gamharia police station limits when Arka Jain University’s Bus No. 17 collided with a scooter. The impact of the collision was so severe that the bus’s front windshield shattered completely, scattering glass across the road, and the scooter was heavily damaged.

The scooterist, Bharat Mandal, a resident of Mohanpur, sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed for medical treatment by local villagers. His condition remained critical.

Following the incident, the bus driver fled the scene with the vehicle and headed towards the university. Outraged by the accident, local residents blocked the road in protest.

On receiving the news, JMM block president Bhomra Majhi along with Sokhen Hembram, Uday Mardi, Anil Soren, Hopna Besra and Chaitan Murmu reached the spot and staged a protest. They demanded that the university management ensure proper medical treatment for the injured individual. Majhi also informed the Gamharia police station about the incident.

Police later arrived at the scene, seized both the scooter and the bus, and initiated further investigation.
