Jamshedpur, September 19: Two years after the theft in Tata-Manipal Medical College, Sidhgora, the police have revealed and arrested seven accused.
Those arrested include four thieves and three buyers. These include Dilip Kalindi, resident of Bagunhatu Road No. 6, Shibu Das, resident of Road No. 4, Arun Kumar, Keshav Kalindi, Manoj Dhal alias Mona, Vikas Karmakar and Vicky Singh.
At the behest of the accused, the police have recovered four stolen ACs, whose value is said to be Rs 1.50 lakh.
Giving information, DSP Headquarters-1 Virendra Ram said that the incident occurred on July 27, 2021. On this day, five ACs were stolen from Tata-Manipal College in Baridih.
In this case, the police first arrested Dilip Kalindi. Dilip told that he used to work as a laborer in the college. During that time he saw that many ACs had come in the college. He told his partner about this and formed a gang, which included Shibu Das, Keshav Kalindi, and Vicky.
They stole the ACs and sold each of them for eight thousand rupees.
He told that three ACs were sold to Arun Kumar for eight thousand. While one was sold to Manoj Dhal and one to Vikas Karmakar.
The police have recovered a burnt AC from Manoj, whereas the AC which Vikas had bought has been sold to a scrap dealer. At present the police have sent all the accused to jail.
