Jamshedpur: 6 Compassionate Appointments Approved for Deceased Govt Employees’ Kin

Jamshedpur: In a key decision aimed at providing relief to families of deceased government employees, the District Establishment Committee, in its recent meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, approved compassionate appointments for six dependents.

Held at the Collectorate office, the meeting reviewed 14 pending cases submitted for compassionate consideration. After a thorough evaluation of documents—including death certificates of the deceased employees, family details, and the availability of vacant posts—the committee gave its consent for six appointments. The remaining applicants were advised to rectify deficiencies in their applications and submit the required documentation for further processing.

Of the approved appointments, four candidates were cleared for Class-III posts: Bhaskar Das, son of late Kanchan Kumar Das (Teacher), Muskan Mardi, daughter of late Lakhindra Mardi (Director), Shankar Singh, dependent of late Pinki Kumari (Clerk) and Kunal Singh, son of late Dilip Kumar Singh (Teacher)

Two others were approved for Class-IV positions: Ram Krishna Sardar, son of late Bayar Singh Sardar (Teacher), Dola Sahu, wife of late Gauri Shankar Sahu (Welfare Supervisor).

The District Magistrate emphasized the importance of prompt and fair action in matters of compassionate appointments to ensure the welfare of bereaved families. The meeting also reiterated the need for accurate documentation and inter-departmental coordination to expedite such cases in future.

Present at the meeting were Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer Shatabdi Majumdar, Additional Deputy Commissioner  Bhagirath Prasad, District Welfare Officer  Shankaracharya Samad, District Education Officer  Manoj Kumar, and other senior officials.
