Jamshedpur: 5 accused in minor rape arrested

Jamshedpur, November 9:All the five accused of rape of a minor in Rajnagar have been arrested and sent to jail.

Seraikela Kharsawan  SP Dr Vimal Kumar  on Thursday at Jyada Camp office in Adityapur informed media that it proved costly for a girl who went out for a walk with her boyfriend on Tuesday and was raped by five friends of her own lover. A minor is also included among the five accused.

After receiving information about this, Rajnagar police took immediate action and arrested the five accused youths.

The SP said that the victim girl was sitting in an open field with her lover and as her lover went to bring a shawl five boys reached there and told the victim that his friend was calling her to the river bank. The victim went with them. There all five took turns to rape the girl. After coming home, the girl informed her family.

The family members informed Rajnagar police station in-charge Chandan Kumar about this. Taking immediate action in the case, the police first got the victim girl medically examined at Seraikela Sadar Hospital. The five accused named by the girl were arrested from their house on Wednesday night.
