Jamshedpur: The District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) held a crucial meeting under the chairmanship of District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal at auditorium, Jamshedpur, to approve eligible farmers under the Jharkhand State Crop Relief Scheme (JRFRY) for the Rabi Year 2022-23.
During the meeting, the District Cooperation Officer and Nodal Officer presented a list of 37 eligible farmers after thorough verification, which included crop verification, land verification, Crop Cutting Experiment (CCE), and e-KYC. Following deliberations, the committee unanimously approved the disbursement of ₹2,55,210 in crop relief to the selected farmers. The approved amount will be requested from the State Nodal Officer and, upon allocation, will be transferred directly to farmers’ accounts via the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
This financial assistance is aimed at mitigating losses faced by farmers due to adverse agricultural conditions, ensuring timely support to sustain their livelihoods.
The meeting was attended by District Cooperative Officer Asha Toppo, District Agriculture Officer Vivek Birua, District Statistics Officer Sudipta Raj, and representatives from Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank Ltd., among other officials.
