Jamshedpur: 2 bike thieves nabbed, 9 bikes recovered

Jamshedpur, November 21. Sakchi police has arrested two thieves and recovered nine stolen bikes.

The arrested accused include Vijay Mukhi, resident of Parsudih Loco Colony and Sonu Karua, resident of Kadma Bhatia Basti. Police have recovered nine bikes at the behest of the accused.

SSP Kishore Kaushal said that on November 16, a complaint of theft of a bike was made in Sakchi police station.

During the investigation, Vijay was arrested first. Sonu’s name also came up during interrogation. After this the police arrested Sonu. SSP Kishore Kaushal said that all the bikes have been recovered from the main parking lot of the city. A bike has been recovered from Sakchi TOP.

There is a possibility of other people also being involved in this. The police will take the accused on remand and interrogate them. SSP said that during interrogation it was found that the accused faced a lot of trouble in selling stolen bikes. At the same time, less money was earned by selling the stolen bike.

Therefore, they planned to keep the bike. After stealing the bike, both of them started searching for a person who had a bike of the same model. By conniving, they used the bike’s documents to keep the bike hostage. Even before this, both of them had kept about half a dozen bikes hostage. SSP told that Vijay has been to jail in the past also. At present everyone has been sent to judicial custody.
