Gamharia, Feb 2: Gamharia police solved murder case of Sameer Chal, a resident of Manoharpur in West Singhbhum district, by arresting two killers and sent them to judicial custody. The arrested accused include Padmalochan Singh and Panchanan Singh. The police have recovered the mobile of both the criminals including the knife, motorcycle, mobile of the deceased used in the murder from them.
Giving information about this matter, Seraikela SDPO Harvinder Singh said that on January 31, the mother of the deceased, Anna Devi, had given a written application in Gamharia police station, in which she had expressed the possibility of kidnapping her son Sameer. After that a team was formed under the leadership of Gamharia police station in-charge Rajiv Kumar Singh and was engaged in search of Sameer. The said team was successful in arresting the accused by disclosing the said case in just one day. Regarding the matter that came up during interrogation of the arrested accused, the SDPO said that the deceased had given Rs 9.20 lakh to Padmalochan Singh Sardar, a resident of Nimdih’s Purnapani, in the name of employment.
He was murdered only on the matter of returning the said money. He told that on January 29, Padmalochan Singh, Panchanan Singh, Varun Singh and Sameer along with Chal went to Dangdung in Bodam on two motorcycles to visit the fair. In the fair, Samir was given a drink and liquor by him.
Panchanan Singh bought two knives from the Mela and put them in the bag and Panchanan, Sameer and Varun sat on one motorcycle while Padmalochan was returning from the Mela sitting alone on the other motorcycle. In order to return, Sameer Chal was strangled by them at a secluded place in Bhadudih forest under a pre-planned plan. On being attacked, they took Sameer inside the forest and severed his head from the ground.
Throwing Sameer’s shoes and knife there. After this, removed all the clothes from Sameer’s body and kept his cloth, socks, purse, helmet and knife in the bag. After that, about six kilometers ahead, threw Sameer’s severed head and helmet in the ditch near Satnala and burnt it near Muchidih pond with all his clothes, papers etc. During the raid, the police recovered the torso of the deceased Sameer, severed head, the knife used in the incident and the motorcycle. During interrogation, both the accused have admitted their involvement in the murder.
Raids are being conducted to arrest the third accused.
