Jammu & Kashmir results positive, Haryana outcome unexpected: Congress spokesperson Dr. Ajoy Kumar

Jamshedpur: Senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar, while speaking to the media on Tuesday, expressed surprise over the results of the Haryana elections. He stated, “The outcome in Haryana was unexpected for me. I had visited Haryana, and the ground reports we received led us to believe that the results would be in our favor. However, we need to review what went wrong and analyze where we made mistakes. It’s clear that we fell short in the efforts required on the ground, as we lost several seats by a narrow margin. This indicates that there was a strong possibility of winning, but we missed out due to shortcomings in our efforts.”

Dr. Ajoy further added that although Congress is not forming the government in Haryana, the people have strengthened the party’s position in the state. “We will continue to raise public issues with even greater determination,” he affirmed.

Dr. Ajoy congratulated Jharkhand Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir for the victory in Jammu & Kashmir. He remarked, “The results in Jammu & Kashmir are satisfactory. We were hopeful that we would form the government there. I congratulate the people of Jammu & Kashmir for supporting Congress and the alliance.”

Dr. Ajoy also emphasized that the outcome of the Haryana elections would not affect the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. “In Jharkhand, we are in constant touch with the people, informing them about the government’s schemes. Efforts are being made at every level to ensure that more and more people benefit from these schemes. The Hemant government has performed well, and if we continue to receive the people’s support, development will accelerate, and employment opportunities will increase in the state. We are confident that the INDIA alliance will form the government in Jharkhand,” he concluded.
