Jamshedpur, Dec 18: Jusco School South Park organized its 10th Annual Sports Meet at JSSP Ground.
The programme started with an impressive march-past led by the school Captain showcasing the five elements of nature through their five houses. Present on the occasion were Mr. A F Madon, Administrator JEM Foundation, Mr. Jiju Thomas, Manager, JEM Foundation and Principals of various schools.
The students of V & VI presented a drill “Sports Unite the World” showcasing the popular sports of Malaysia, India, China, England, USA, Lithuania, and Sri Lanka. The children demonstrated live matches of Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Baseball, Hockey and Football. This was done as a part of International School Award Project (British Council).
The students of classes VII presented a unique drill display of “Swachhta”, spreading the message of being clean to keep India clean. Prinicpal Mrs. Shovna De initiated this idea of drill, keeping in view the campaign launched by PM Narendra Modi.
A presentation combining Colourful costumes, wonderful performance and excellent synchronization won the hearts of the spectators.
The peak of the show was the announcement of the overall house champions JAL House. Kafil Beg was declared the Best Athlete (boys) while Sania Parveen was adjudged the Best Athlete (Boys). Earlier, the chief guest Lt. Col. Saurabh Maithani, took the salute and declared the sports meet open.
The programme was flawlessly conducted under the able supervision and guidance of the Principal, Mrs. Shovna De. The Sports teacher Mritunjay along with other teachers and staff worked hard to put up the successful event.
