Jadugoda Marwari Sammelan gifts new look crematorium

Jamshedpur, Jan 5: The Jadugoda wing of Marwari Sammelan has gifted the people with a new look and beautified crematorium to the people of this uranium township. It has provision for cremating two corpses simultaneously.

The concept and planning for this new look crematorium was envisaged a year ago by late Dr Ashok Agrawal. His dream was converted into reality by his close friend and established businessman of the town Pradip Agrawal along with Jadugoda Marwari Sammelan president Dr Sushil Agrawal and other members.

The pathway to the crematorium has been laid with pavers� block and toilet water facility have also been provided. The next target of the Marwari Sammelan is to install a high mast light, a separate room to store firewood so that people get dry wood all the year round and a boundary wall along the cremation ground.

The Jadugoda Marwari Sammelan has urged parliamentarian Bidyut Baran Mahto for installation of the high mast light while the construction of the boundary wall is to be undertaken by UCIL.

Earlier the people of the locality had to descend down to the banks of Gurra River to cremate corpses and faced great difficulties during the monsoons. This initiative of the Marwari Sammelan of gifting a new crematorium to the people has come in for allround appreciation.
