Funeral rites of KC Murmu performed in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 5: The funeral rites of Kumar Chandra Murmu, popularly known as KC Murmu were performed in Santali tradition at Parvati Ghat with his eldest son, Chandrashekhar Murmu alias Vivek Murmu lighting the funeral pyre. Earlier legislator and former minister Champai Soren, legislator Sanjiv Sardar, former international sportsman Virdhan Mardi and mountaineer Vinit Soren visited KC Murmu�s residence and expressed their condolences to the bereaved family.

Among those present at the funeral were Sudam Hembram, Naresh Kumar Murmu, Varodh Hansda, Kushal Hansda, Madhu Soren, Khudiram Murmu, Shankar Hembram, Aloke Vajpayee, Puran Hansda, Dr Balram Murmu, Gopinath Murmu, Chandra Tudu, Anup Kumar Behra, Dil Bahadur, Anand Hembram, Ramesh Hansda, Chhotray Hembram, Sudipto Dey Rana, Manch Gopi, Chhaganlal Hansda and Mangal Majhi.
