JAC Exams: Jamshedpur Administration tightens vigilance to ensure fair conduct, SDO inspects centers

Jamshedpur: To ensure the smooth and malpractice-free conduct of the annual secondary and intermediate examinations organized by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), the Deputy Commissioner,  Ananya Mittal, has directed officials to actively monitor examination centers. Following these directives, Sub-divisional Officer (SDO) of Dhalbhum,  Shatabdi Majumdar, inspected the Inter examination centers during the second shift on Friday.

During her visit to Graduate College,  Majumdar assessed the arrangements and issued necessary guidelines to ensure the examinations were conducted without any malpractices. She emphasized that strict action would be taken against any candidate found indulging in unfair practices.

The inspections are part of a comprehensive strategy implemented by the district administration to maintain law and order at examination centers and ensure fair conduct. SDO Ghatshila,  Sunil Chandra, along with LRD Ghatshila,  Neet Nikhil Surin, LRD Dhalbhum,  Gautam Kumar, and all BDOs and COs are conducting surprise visits to examination centers to maintain strict vigilance.

Furthermore, static and patrolling magistrates, along with police officers assigned to examination duty, have been directed to ensure a malpractice-free environment. The administration is taking all necessary precautions to prevent any disruption during the examination period.

The annual secondary examination is being conducted in the first shift from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm, while the intermediate examination (Arts, Science, and Commerce) is being held in the second shift from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm.

A total of 71 examination centers have been set up for the matriculation examination—26 in Ghatsila subdivision and 45 in Dhalbhum subdivision. For the intermediate examination, there are 12 centers in Ghatsila and 23 in Dhalbhum, totaling 35 centers.

This year, 25,380 candidates are appearing for the 10th board examination in the district, while 13,595 students are appearing for the Arts faculty of Intermediate, 4,697 in Science, and 3,964 in Commerce, bringing the total number of Intermediate candidates to 22,256.

“ The district administration is committed to maintaining the sanctity of the examination process and ensuring a fair environment for all students. With continuous monitoring and strategic deployment of officials, the authorities aim to prevent any malpractices and uphold the integrity of the examination system. The inspections will continue throughout the examination period to ensure the examinations are conducted smoothly and without any disruptions,” said an official.
