J.H. Tarapore School swears in new cabinet for 2024-25

Jamshedpur, July 4: J.H. Tarapore School ushered in its new student leadership for the 2024-25 academic year with a formal Investiture Ceremony held on Thursday. The event saw the induction of 50 students into various leadership roles, marking a significant moment in the school’s calendar.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Rubina Bodhanwala, Director of J.H. Tarapore School, and Tina Bodhanwala Sood, Director of Tarapore School, Agrico. Principal Lata Sharat and Vice-Principal Rukshana Gardin presided over the investiture of the newly elected cabinet members.

Tasmia Fatma of Class XII was sworn in as the School Pupil Leader, with Vaanya Pandey of Class XI taking on the role of Assistant School Pupil Leader. The ceremony also saw the appointment of four house leaders representing Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Topaz houses, along with various ministerial positions including Sports, Cultural, Discipline, Cleanliness, and Ethics Ministers. Club Leaders and their assistants were also inducted.

The event began with a grand march by the Cabinet Members, accompanied by the school band. A traditional lamp-lighting ceremony followed, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. In her address, Principal Lata Sharat emphasized the importance of leadership and responsibility, highlighting the cabinet’s role in fostering a positive school environment.

The Investiture Ceremony is designed to instil leadership qualities and a sense of collective responsibility in students. The oath taken by the leaders underscored values of truth, justice, peace, and harmony within the school community.
