IWC Zest to focus on female education, adult literacy

Jamshedpur, Aug. 1: Inner Wheel Club (IWC) of Jamshedpur Zest hosted the 5th installation ceremony at Kalimati Banquet in Super Centre, Sakchi.

The chief guest for the evening was Vandana Mathur an eminent social worker and guest of honor was Aruna Taneja.

Neeta Agarwal was reappointed as the President of IWC Jamshedpur Zest for the year 2016-17 along with the executive committee.

To embrace this year’s theme “Touch a heart” the President requested all the members to come together and collectively make a difference.

The club this year will focus on- Female Education, Adult Literacy, Vocational training for Women, Preventing female foeticides, Conducting Health camps and awareness programs in Rural areas, Work on projects under TEACH., ANCHAL, Opening e-learning centers and organizing teachers training programs.

The executive committee members for the year 2016-17 include Neeta Agarwal (president), Sweta Debuka (immediate past president), Vibhuti Adesara (vice-president), Navita Sablok (CLCC), Dipti Nath (secretary), Sonam Goyal (ISO), Navneet Kaur (treasurer) and Nidhi Adesara (editor).

Sub-committee members include Nisha Gadia, Anuja Singhania , Nisha Pasari and Seema Bagrodia. This was followed by a cheque donation to Anurag Foundation for thalassemia patients and the ceremony was concluded with vote of thanks.

The club won the several awards in the year 2015-16 including -Star club award under Asha Kiran Project, Nomination award for Best Secretary – Vibhuti Adesara, Nomination for best Treasurer – Swati Chakraborty, Certificate of appreciation for Happy School under TEACH, Certificate of appreciation for child development under TEACH and Certificate of appreciation for achieving district goals under ANCHAL.
