Jamshedpur, Sept. 4: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur organized Nation Builder Award Ceremony on the eve of Teachers Day, at a city hotel on Tuesday. The club presented Nation Builder Award to outstanding seventeen government school teachers.
DLCC Aruna Taneja presented the awards to the school teachers. The award winners include- Angita Kumari, Manoranjan Kumar, Shubhojit Pramanik, Janardan Yadav, Verunica Kujur, Soma Jana, Runa Mandal, Neriyan Ekka, Akhilesh Kumar, R. Pushplata, Ranjita Sarkar, Geeta, Sanjay Kumar , O.Allively, Esmita Hembram, Rani Jabbal and Amrita Pritam.
Earlier, CLCC Pasam Adesra addressed the gathering and described the criterions of this award.
‘This award is given on certain guidelines provided by Rotary India Literacy mission. Teachers are selected on the basis of principals and the student�s appreciation’, Adesara informed.
Members of the club who are teacher by profession were also recognised and felicitated at the function.
Members of the club present at the ceremony were Deepti Singh, Monika Uppal, Dr.Rita Jha, Dr. Manju Rani Singh, Chanchala Singh, Sangita Sinha, Anita Rai, Amrita Rao, Sangita Sinha, Rachna Ahuja, Archana Shekhar and others.
Later in the day, Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur held its 3rd General body meeting where PP Alokananda Bakshi welcomed the Chief Guest Lalita Sareen.
Mrs. Sareen addressed the members and spoke in length about the role of the teachers in nation and society building.
PPs Nalini Ram Murti, Deepti Singh, Anita Rai were present apart from the members of club in good strength.
