Jamshedpur, Aug 4: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East organised breastfeeding awareness programme on Saturday. Rural women in large number were present at the event.
President of Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East Rama Khanna addressed the ladies on the benefits of breastfeeding, how to take care of the new born and the vaccinations to be given timely. She explained in detail about postpartum period and how to take care of the child.
The club also hosted healthy baby competition. Most healthy and responsive child was awarded. Snacks were also distributed among the children and ladies. Free iron capsule were given to the ladies.
President of the club Rama Khanna, Ira Bondhyopadhaya, Meena Mukherjee, Nilima Prakash, Sonali�Mohanty, Sampa Upadhaya, Madhumita Sanyal, Poonam�Verma and Sanchita De�were present.
