IT sleuths arrests Jamshedpur businessman Vicky Bhalotia for tax evasion, Unaccounted money over Rs 200 Cr transferred overseas

Jamshedpur, December 11. Taking major action, the vigilance department of Income Tax department has arrested businessman Vicky Bhalotia, resident of Jugsalai, Jamshedpur and sent him to jail.

On Monday, the Income Tax Department team took him to MGM Hospital. There the investigation team got him medically examined, after which he was arrested for tax evasion and sent to jail.

There are many serious allegations against Vicky Bhalotia, in which irregularities of more than Rs 200 crore have been found.

Apart from Dubai, black money has been transferred to other countries. Apart from the Income Tax Department, DGCI was also investigating this matter in which crores of rupees were being sent to Dubai and other places through Hawala.

Regarding this matter, the department has said that a scam worth crores of rupees has been done. It is noteworthy that Vicky Bhalotia was arrested from Kolkata. After this he was continuously interrogated. When no satisfactory answer was given, he was sent to jail. It is known that one and a half month ago the DGCI team had raided the house of Vicky Bhalotia, but coincidentally he was not caught.

Since then, the team of Kolkata DGCI Headquarters was continuously chasing Vicky Bhalotia. Three days ago, when Vicky Bhalotia reached a hotel with his friends to attend a function in Kolkata, he was detained by the DGCI.
