IRCS free eye camp concludes in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov. 9: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) in association with Ram Manohar Lohia Seva Sansthan conducted free eye cure camp. The camp concluded today as 25 patients who underwent cataract surgery were discharged before being thoroughly checked by Dr BP Singh, noted Eye Surgeon of Jamshedpur. 

Sponsored by Chandulal Bhalotia Welfare Trust in memory of Chandulal Bhalotia, renowned social worker and Patron of IRCS, the camp started on 7th November 2020 which saw many patients with eye ailments thronging the venue of Ram Manohar Lohia Netralaya located at Bagbera.  After registration and screening, all patients with hyper maturity cases were operated by Dr B P Singh, Dr Poonam Singh of Tata Main Hospital and Dr Anand Shushroot. 

At the time of discharge of patients today, Ashok Bhalotia of Chandulal Bhalotia Welfare Trust, presented all the patients with warm blankets and biscuit packets.  Bijay Kumar Singh, Hony Secretary, IRCS, Bal Mulkund Goyal, President, Ram Manohar Lohia Seva Sansthan and Ashok Bhalotia provided the patients with dark glasses and eye drops.

The next Eye Operation Camp which will be held from 14th to 16th November 2020 is being sponsored by Tinplate Ladies Welfare Trust. 

The District Rural Health Department, Tata Main Hospital, Chimanlal Bhalotia Seva Sansthan, Ram Manohar Lohia Seva Sansthan, Rajasthan Seva Sadan have extended assistance in successfully organizing this Eye Camp.
