Investors’ meet of Ranchi Smart City Corporation today at Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 28: The Ranchi Smart City Corporation Ltd (RSCCL),  will hold investors’ meet at XLRI on Friday. The meeting has been called to make Ranchi a smart city. The investors’ meet will be organised in association with the East Singhbhum district administration, especially the civic body Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) at the Tata Auditorium of XLRI from Friday 11 am.

Special officer, JNAC, Krishna Kumar said that the main purpose behind the meet is to explore investors from the steel city for promotion of the Ranchi Smart City project.

Ranchi is one of the 100 smart cities under the Smart City Mission of the Government of India. Accordingly, the Government of Jharkhand envisions to make Ranchi Smart City: A Knowledge hub for educational excellence – for both formal and non-formal sectors, by reinforcing its good educational institutes in preparation for welcoming knowledge based industries. An efficiently managed traffic and transportation system based city aided by Information Technology (IT) in all aspects to reduce the travel time of commuters and incidents of traffic violations to make Ranchi a safe city for pedestrians and commuters.

For development of modern state-of-the-art amenities, Smart City of Ranchi will also offer opportunities to investors in the areas of real estate, health, education, housing and hospitality among others. It will be so designed so as to provide all basic amenities like good quality water and electricity supply, solid waste management system, scientific sewerage and drainage systems, IT connectivity, digitization, e governance and public participation. Sector-wise opportunities are as below:

Under the Ranchi Smart City project educational infrastructure, health care infrastructure, entertainment will take place.  These apart, works also will be done in the public transport, smart water supply, connectivity infrastructure, commercial hubs, convention centre as well as hotels will also be done.  

He informed that they expect participation of a large number builders, hoteliers, industrialists having expertise in the infrastructure sector in the Investors’ Meet which will be attended by chief executive officer, RSCCL, Amit Kumar and also East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar.

The civic body’s special officer pointed out at the Investors’ Meet which is being held at the XLRI in a big level for the first time the lockdown, the participants will be given an opportunity to interact with the experts in the RSCCL and also invitees from the forum of industrial as well as the businessmen circle.

The state government has already acquired 656 acres of land for area-based development work under the smart city project there at Ranchi.
