Intermittent rain provides relief to Jamshedpur, temperature drops by 1.5 degree Celsius

Jamshedpur, June 25: The scorching heat that had been engulfing Jamshedpur witnessed a significant relief as the city experienced intermittent rain on Sunday evening. The rain brought down the temperature by 1.5 degrees Celsius, providing respite to the residents. Despite the monsoon having entered all districts of Jharkhand, the rainfall has not been as abundant as anticipated. However, the presence of monsoon clouds in the sky and the occasional showers have brought relief from the sweltering heat.

According to meteorological experts, the relief from the heat is expected to continue as the Meteorological Department has forecasted partial and heavy rains across all districts of Jharkhand until July 01. These anticipated showers may lead to a drop of 2-3 degrees Celsius in the temperature, further alleviating the prevailing hot weather conditions.

Additionally, the formation of a low-pressure area in the Bay of North-West Bengal has raised the likelihood of its transformation into a cyclonic circulation in the coming days. As a result, certain regions are expected to receive rainfall, contributing to the overall relief from the heatwave. While the rainfall in Jamshedpur has been intermittent, it has provided much-needed relief from the scorching temperatures, offering respite to the local populace.
